Roman Philosophers' Path

Just like us, the Romans pondered the big questions of life. How did the world originate? Is there life after death? Do higher powers exist, or is there a God? Why am I here? They also asked more practical questions about life. How should life be lived? What if I make mistakes?

In Museumpark Orientalis, you will encounter various such questions along the path. Below each question are the answers given by different Roman philosophers. You can learn more about this with the free booklet, which you can pick up at the entrance to the Museumpark. The route is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and up. Walk the route yourself, or discuss the questions with your friends or family.

What answers would you give?

Tip! Be sure to check out the Roman city street during your walk. Here you can experience the colorfulness of daily life in Roman times. And did you know that a section of a real Roman aqueduct runs across the museum grounds?
