Co-creation in the museum park

Museumpark Orientalis maintains close contact with the community and focuses on sustainability. We are the physical melting pot where mental support takes place and new initiatives emerge. A place where we connect over 60.000 people annually with diverse cultures and with each other, and where dialogue is made possible. In doing so, Museumpark Orientalis collaborates with 27 social partners. These are organizations both within and outside the Museumpark.

Below is an overview of our current co-creators.

Partners

 7-Hills Survival

A survival run association, affiliated with SBN, offers safe, insured training sessions and runs on the fenced Museumpark Orientalis grounds, exclusively accessible to members and prospective members.

Trees

Creates and maintains food forests, with a special focus on the food forest as a social workplace, where social engagement, education, and collaboration are central.

Daan Hegeman

Daan Hegeman supports young people (8-25 years) with mental or physical support needs, individually at home, at school, or in the Timmermanshuis, including daytime activities and outdoor activities.

The Zendo

The Zendo is a meditation center and Zen café in Museumpark Orientalis. Enjoy peace and quiet, organic treats, and immerse yourself in Zen, yoga, mindfulness, inspiring retreats, and day retreats.

THIS coaching

DIT Coaching is a recognized care institution that offers person-centered, Socratic guidance at home. SKJ-registered and ISO-certified coaches.

ElanArt

ElanArt inspires young refugees through art and culture, promotes contact, understanding, and appreciation, narrows the social gap, and stimulates integration and participation in the Netherlands.

Hans Wijnhoven

Knaap Food

Our inn is open to visitors, and we provide catering for large and small groups, always with attention to detail and quality. Both on location and at your home.

Lazuli

A small-scale primary school where children learn through play at their own pace and in their own way, in connection with themselves, others, parents, and their environment; homeschooling is also possible.

Lisette Sillessen

Lisette Silessen is an HSP/HSS coach and supports clients in discovering and utilizing their high sensitivity and high sensation-drivenness, with personalized, tailored guidance.

Lowlines Collective

LowLines is a slackline collective in the Eastern Netherlands that brings together balance, highlining, and fun, explores boundaries, and forms an enthusiastic, close-knit community of sports lovers and creatives.

Malus Juice Room

Small-scale juice bar where young adults facing disadvantages in the labor market make apple juice and cider in an artisanal way, with pride, pleasure, and craftsmanship.

Maarten Nouwens

Landschapsbeheer works closely with Buitenkans, Tarcisius, and the Yuverta BBL training program to promote practical experience, knowledge sharing, and involvement with nature and the environment.

Meraki

A learning and development environment for gifted and highly sensitive young people, where talents are nurtured, curiosity is stimulated, and personal growth is fostered.

Offers a unique blend of outdoor work and reintegration or social activation, in which participants develop skills, build self-confidence, and actively contribute to nature and society.

Dutch Boss

A school that focuses on civic integration, language development, and social participation, where students acquire skills and knowledge to function actively and independently.

NN Zevenheuvelen

The Zevenheuvelenloop, -trail, -hike, and -winterhike start, finish, and take place (partially) on our grounds, where participants enjoy challenging routes and surroundings.

PadmaHeart

An international platform for yoga and self-care, with live and online classes, workshops, and ceremonies, focused on well-being, personal growth, and awareness.

Quest Events

Outdoor and team-building events for groups, schools, and companies, focused on collaboration, personal development, and fun, where participants take on challenges together.

Rewilding Europe

Together with local partners, this organization works on large-scale nature restoration in Europe by restoring ecosystems and giving nature ample space again.

Journalist and program maker, affiliated with the Shams-Rumi Foundation, is committed to sharing stories, cultural exchange, and social engagement.

Statues Dennis Blaauw

Dennis Blaauw gives dead trees new life by shaping them into tree sculptures with a chainsaw and chisel, in which creativity, craftsmanship, and inspiration come together to form art.

Spinsels

Development of innovative, out-of-the-box solutions for complex challenges within both the public and private sectors, focused on impact, efficiency, and sustainable results.

Municipal Gymnasium Nijmegen

'Week of Opportunities': For three years, there is a Social Service (MDT) project week in April for Class 4, during which students have the chance to develop their talents, gain new experiences, and actively contribute to society.

Sietske Klooster

Sietske designs experiences that inspire people and stimulate collaboration, and enables change through creativity and engagement in every design and process.

Tiel and Zaligheid

Tielke Jeuken offers herb walks and seasonal courses, in which participants learn about herbs, wild plants, and their applications in nature, health, and daily life.

Valkhof Museum

We offer all Roman programs through 2026. With these, you roll up your sleeves and experience firsthand what the Romans were already capable of doing by doing it yourself.

Food Forest De Reisver

Food Forest De Reiziger is an edible landscape where care groups, volunteers, and nature lovers come together to experience biodiversity and discover stories of nature.

Gemina Project Association

Gemina Project Association is a historical re-enactment society that portrays Roman soldiers and civilians during the reign of Emperor Vespasian (69-79 AD). This means that we perform in the clothing and weaponry of that time.
