Audio tour by Arnon Grunberg

In 2023, the first edition of the Wagner4daagse took place at Museumpark Orientalis and the adjacent Cenakelkerk. This four-day festival was dedicated to music by Richard Wagner, arranged for a chamber music setting. Author Arnon Grunberg recorded an audio tour especially for the museum park, which is now available to all visitors.

Grunberg and festival initiator Marc Pantus take you on an audio walk past iconic spots in Museumpark Orientalis and the cemetery park. Along the way, Arnon talks about diverse topics, such as Wagner as a writer and his antisemitism, but above all about the theme of Wagner's opera Parsifal: suffering and redemption.

Audio tour: What is truth?

This audio tour was made possible in part by Annemarie Haverkamp and the students Jop, Dirk, Melisa, Tom, and Jon. Together, they have combined their talents to bring this experience to life.

It all started with a brilliant idea that emerged during a think tank organized by Radboud University in collaboration with Museumpark Orientalis. Students gathered here to exchange ideas and make plans for this audio tour.
